EAC Profile Verification Requirements

Uganda

Required documents for a transporter in Uganda:

  1. Certificate of incorporation
  2. Trading license from Municipal Council or City Authorities
  3. Insurance
  4. TIN number
  5. Certificate of transportation from the ministry of works and transport
  6. ID/ Passport of one of the Directors

Required documentation for a freight forwarder/Broker/Shipper in Uganda:

  1. Certificate of incorporation
  2. Tax clearance certificate from Uganda Revenue Authority
  3. Trading license from Municipal Council or City Authorities
  4. ID/ Passport of one of the Directors

Tanzania

Required documentation for a freight forwarder/Broker/Shipper in Tanzania:

  1. BUSINESS LICENCE (From Local Municipal Council)
  2. TAX CLEARANCE from TRA
  3. TAFFA CERTIFICATE (From Freight Forwarders Association) if Applicable
  4. CB 11(BOND INSURANCE) if applicable
  5. TASAC CERTIFICATE (From Tanzania Shipping Agency Cooperation) if Applicable
  6. CUSTOMS LICENSE(issues after matriculation test) if Applicable
  7. ID/ Passport of one of the Directors

Required documents for a transporter in Tanzania:

  1. TRA Registration
  2. Insurance
  3. LATRA Certificate
  4. Transporters Association License
  5. Custom Business License named C28. (for transit only)
  6. ID/ Passport of one of the Directors

Kenya

Required documents for a transporter in Kenya:

  1. CR12
  2. Certificate of Registration
  3. Compliance certificate
  4. KRA PIN certificate
  5. Vehicle registration
  6. Insurance certificate
  7. ID/ Passport of one of the Directors

Required documentation for a freight forwarder/Broker/Shipper in Kenya:

  1. CR12
  2. Certificate of Registration
  3. ID/ Passport of one of the Directors
  4. KRA PIN certificate
